PM Modi's mother Heeraben shows her support for the battle against the novel coronavirus by lighting diya during her son's #9baje9minute movement.

Yesterday, PM Narendra Modi initiated the move to light candles and diyas at home at 9 baje for 9 minutes in order to express solidarity amid the fight against the global pandemic. And it seems like PM Modi mother has also been on board.

As the entire nation turned off the lights for nine minutes at 9 PM, PM Modi mother Heeraben also lighted a lamp after switching off every light at her residence to show her support for coronavirus fighters.

Previously, Heeraben Modi had taken Rs 25,000 from her savings to donate to the PM-CARES fund as the country is battling COVID-19.

Thousands of families throughout India took note of the Prime Minister’s call and used candles, flashlights and diyas after turning off all electric lights for nine minutes at 9pm the day before to honor India’s battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

The fight against novel coronavirus is still intense as the situation is unforeseeable. The death toll because of the pandemic climbed to 83 and the confirmed cases rose to 4,288 in the nation on Monday morning.

The number of active coronavirus cases in India stands at 3,819, while 328 people were either discharged or cured and one had migrated. In the past 24 hours, the health ministry data has collected information about seven deaths.
