Kareena Kapoor On Making Her TV Debut As A Dance India Dance's Judge: I Am Excited And Nervous

"I am excited and nervous", says Kareena Kapoor about making her TV debut as a judge on the popular reality show "Dance India Dance".

During a recent interview to DNA India, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, who is all set to make her debut on TV as a judge of popular reality show Dance India Dance, talked about how she feels when foraying onto the small screen for the first time.

According to Kareena Kapoor, she had got many TV-show offers to come her way in the past five years, but she did not give the nod since she cannot spend more than 8 hours on the sets because of her little son Taimur. However, she decided to accept this offer to be a celebrity judge on Dance India Dance because the producer knows how to balance time nicely.

Earlier, speculations had been making the rounds that Kareena Kapoor has become the highest-paid celebrity television judge after she got a hefty amount from the show makers. Talking about these rumors, the 38-year-old diva claimed that she is just getting whatever she deserves.

Kareena Kapoor has captured millions of hearts with her outstanding performances in numerous Bollywood films. However, she admitted that she has less experience on the TV show.

she said, adding that while she had no idea about how a TV show operates but she fully understood about parameters on which she will judge the contestants.

When asked if she is ready to show the audiences her real-life personality, she said,

Also in the interview, Kareena Kapoor, who is known for her sizzling dance moves such as It’s Rocking, Fevicol Se and Chammak Challo, shared that for her dance was all about expression, zest and energy.

Talking about Dance India Dance, Kareena Kapoor will co-judge the show with choreographer Bosco Martis and musician Raftaar. The contestants will be divided into four teams and compete against each other in weekly dance-offs. Dance India Dance is set to air in June 2019 and will be hosted by Kundali Bhagya actor Dheeraj Dhoopar.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kareena Kapoor will share the screen space with Akshay Kumar again in Good News. In the film, they will play a couple who is making an effort to have a baby by IVF after seven years of marriage. Helmed by Raj Mehta and also featuring Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in the pivotal role, Good News is slated to release on 27th December 2019 and will clash with Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg 3.
