Bigg Boss 12: Who are the highest-paid and lowest-paid celebrities?

The reality show Bigg Boss is currently hitting out of the ballpark with a new concept in season 12. The viewers cannot take their eyes off the television screens because of intense drama, leading to rough fights.

The whole team consists of 2 small teams: the vichitra jodis and the singles. The main attraction of the show lies in the format: contestant will be locked inside and have no contact with the outside world. The madhouse is not only full of controversies and arguments but also a real war for contestants to save themselves from being kicked out of the game.

This season welcomes popular celebrities such as Dipika Kakkar, Anup Jalota, Karanvir Bohra and Sreesanth. Are all celebrities getting the fat pay packet for their participation in the Bigg Boss House?

How much are the celebrities earning inside the Bigg Boss 12 house?

According to a new report posted on Bollywoodlife.com, the veteran singer Anup Jalota – the senior member of the madhouse is highest-paid celebrities with Rs 45 lakh a week, followed by Karanvir Bora. The actor in Sasural Simar Ka earns approximately Rs 15 lakh per episode.

It’s a common sense that the more drama you create, the more money you earn on the reality show. However, cricketer Sreesanth may be an exception. Known as a controversial participant, Sreesanth just draws Rs 5 lakh per week, the lowest remuneration on the show. Neha Pendse and Dipika Kakkar get about Rs 20 and Rs 15 lakhs per week respectively, which is still much higher than Sreesanth’s remuneration, not mention to Anup Jalota's.

Although we cannot say for sure the report is highly reliable, the former cricketer threatened to leave the show midway just some days ago. However, if he did, he had to pay a fine of Rs 50 lakh. The show rules that if any participants cannot quit the show before they were asked to get out of the game. If not, they have to pay a  whopping fine of Rs 50 lakh. In Bigg Boss season 9, Rimi Sen walked out of the show though receiving one of the highest paid income.  Will Sreesanth's follow her footsteps?
