Anup Jalota Shuts Down Rumors Of Getting Married To Jasleen Matharu

Recently, Jasleen Matharu posted a photo showing her wearing chooda and sindoor, raising some speculations about a marriage between her and Anup Jalota. However, the 67-year-old singer and musician denied the rumors saying that they tied the knot amidst the coronavirus lockdown.

In reality, during an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anup shared:

"Not Again! My marriage to Jasleen is news to me. I and her father are looking for a suitable match for her. I have suggested to them a Punjabi boy living in Canada. Nothing is fixed yet."

He further disclaimed that their relationship is pure that he considers her a daughter and his student. After leaving the show Bigg Boss, he had stated to do the ritual of kanyadaan to Jasleen.

Meanwhile, the actress-singer cleared the air that what she wore just served a TikTok video shooting and confirmed that she didn't want to confuse everybody with her pic. She stated:

"I was shooting a music video on the song Chupke Se from Saathiya at home. Yes, I dressed like a newly-wed girl at her honeymoon. But surely, I didn't expect that it would lead to so much chaos."

Jasleen, on the other hand, joined the reality show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge. However, because of fewer votes, she was dismissed from the show when being amongst the attendants to get married to Paras Chhabra.

After being a contestant in the popular show Bigg Boss 12 alongside Anup Jalota, she became better-known. She had revealed that they are a couple before joining the show but later, she said that they are just in a relationship between a teacher and student.

Otherwise, both of them will share the screen space in Jasleen's father directorial film Vo Meri Student Hai.
