Chinese Researchers Blame India For Covid-19 Origin And Spread Amid Political Tension Between Two Countries

The pandemic is yet to over and many countries across the world are on the race to produce vaccines. Meanwhile, a group of scientists from China is still trying to find a country where this novel virus actually originates.

The scientists working for the Chinese Academy of Sciences recently came to the conclusion that COVID-19 could be from India where the humans were infected by animals through the contaminated water in this country. It was said to happen in the summer of last year before spreading to the Chinese province, Wuhan where this virus was initially reported.

A professor from Glasgow University, UK named David Robertson instantly went on record to refute this theory. He affirmed that what the Chinese researchers concluded was very flawed. Especially, the Professor stated that it’s also invaluable as it adds nothing to help us understand more about coronavirus.

The fact is the relation between two neighboring countries is not healthy and the tensions between India and China are growing. As soon as the statement of Chinese researchers was out, it instantly faced a backlash from not only the public but also other scientists. The claims were made amid the violent clashes taking place on the border between two countries in the Himalayan region.

India is now the country with the second-highest number of confirmed cases after America. The total coronavirus cases in India are more than 9 million now. Meanwhile, the ranking of China on Worldmeters is 72^nd with only 86,000 cases.
