Love Guru: Why Do We Still Keep Chasing An Unrealistic Relationship?

We've already known that, no matter how hard we try, we can not have her/his heart. Yet we still chase for that type of relationship, desperately and unconsciously. Why? Here are 6 reasons!

1. We wrongly believe that they are too afraid to speak out

It's always difficult to accept the fact that our love for them is just one-sided. We have a strong belief that they must have a feeling for us, so we try to create tons of reasons why they haven't make a move first.

Perhaps they're embarrassed. Perhaps they're not good at flirting. Or maybe, there's still something from the last relationship stuck in their mind and they're not ready to let it go yet. Whatever cases account for, they do want to "have a thing" with us, it's just the matter of time!

2. They try to keep us around, intentionally

Are they stringing us along on purpose? Or are they just playing with our emotions? These are two questions difficult yet essential to answer.

You need to know what is their point from doing this, indifferent emotions or benefit achievement? Unfortunately, sometimes, it's extremely hard for us to figure out whether the affection is real. After all, don't act as their shoulder to lean on! It means they don't want to lose us, as a friend.

3. Will their minds be changed?

We do make a big mistake that, one day, they will rethink about dating us. We convince ourselves that we deserve a long-lasting relationship.

We are busy with the thought that, if they have a chance to get to know us, they will suddenly realize that they have feelings for us too. We have such high expectations that we ignore all the obstacles.

4. We are taught to fight for the things we want

If you have a strong will to get everything you have dreamed of, congratulations! However, sometimes, it's not a good idea to do so, especially in a relationship. Above all, don't have a wild goose chase!

No matter how fast you run, you can not chase someone who doesn't want to be caught and something which is not real. At the end of the race, all you get is a one-sided love, giving more than receiving. They are, obviously, not happy over our 'stalking' either.

5. We prefer challenging

Admittedly, easy things never taste appealing. Some of us are not interested in people who have already into us. We want to conquer, both male and female. We fall for someone who doesn't us much attention and is beyond our standard.

Getting their love finally gives us a feeling of accomplishment or winning a competition. Those thoughts are odd but we can not help them.

6. We are all crazy in love

No one is at their normal state when being in love. Even though we perceive that things will end up not well and we will have our hearts broken, we still go for it. They are all we want so giving up chasing them sounds very struggling. We know that we are the only player in this chasing game but we still keep running and running in vain.

When it comes to a relationship, we can not keep our minds straight, can not stay awake enough to stop doing hopeless things. We let our hearts broken into pieces time after time. That's why we are human beings. Therefore, to limit those damages as much as possible, you need to listen to your heart as well as your head.
