Reuniting with childhood sweethearts after losing contact for many decades seems to be impossible. However, it’s a real story of Gaynor Williams and Dean Ryan.

The puppy love of two teenagers

Gaynor (50) was only a 16-year-old teenager when she first met Dean (53) who was 19 at a local bar in Cheshire back in the year 1986. The young pair quickly fell for each other and became a couple.

They were in a relationship for one year and a half before calling it quits because Dean had to move to another place in order to pursue his dream to become a performer.

34 years later

After more than three decades, when both Gaynor and Dean have never thought that they would meet each other again one day, fate once again brings them together.

In August 2019, the then couple met each other after 34 years since the breakup in a local bar located in Dean’s neighborhood where Gaynor was on her holiday. Needless to say, the feelings of the old good days were uncontrollably flooded into both of them. They fell in love again when they are both in their 50s.

Gaynor visited Benidorm, Spain while she was in the middle of her midlife crisis. She wanted to move to another country to continue her singing dream after breaking up with her ex-husband. She said that she recognized him instantly as Dean still had the same voice, charm, and warm smile.

‘I knew it was him instantly so I went to his dressing room after the show to say hello. We spent ages chatting and catching up – it was like we had never been apart,” said her.

After rekindling the romance, Gaynor decided to move to Spain to live with Dean. The middle-aged couple has been together for one year now.
