British actor Idris Elba recently took to his Twitter to announce that he had confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus, joining Hollywood star Tom Hanks and his wife, and American actress Rita Wilson, among the first celebrities from the entertainment industry to catch this infectious disease.

Idris Elba who was playing in Television police drama Luther and starring as the Norse god Heimdall in Marvel Studio’s box office hit Avengers: Infinity War said in his Tweet that he was asymptomatic. However, he was still isolating himself from other people and it was unclear about his current location.

The actor had taken the test as he had been exposed to people who had been positive for COVID-19 but failed to identify the person. In the video featuring the presence of his wife, Elba told everyone to stay positive and shouldn’t freak out.

Meanwhile, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, last week, also broke the Internet as they announced that they got the disease while shooting for their upcoming film in Australia.

For those who are unversed, the announcement of Elba led to the halting of several movie productions across the world. On Monday, the giant film studio Warner Bros stated that they had to stop the filming schedule of the 4th installment of Matrix franchise and also Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3 which is a spinoff of the iconic Harry Potter series.

According to Variety, the film Matrix would film in Germany while Fantastic Beasts was all set to go on the floor.

Not only Warner Bros, other big-name production houses like Universal Pictures, Disney and Netflix Inc had to halt the production of mostly live-action television shows also because of the complicated development of COVID-19.
