Sara Ali Khan’s Impatience Costs Her Karan Johar’s “Dostana 2”?

“Dostana 2” is a sequel to Karan Johar’s much-loved 2008 comic-caper “Dostana”, starring Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan. The sequel features Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles.

Sara Ali Khan has undoubtedly established herself as one of the most sought-after newcomers from the current lot. She made her smashing silver screen debut with filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor’s romantic film, Kedarnath (2018), and followed it up with the massive hit of Rohit Shetty’s Simmba (2018), co-starring Ranveer Singh. Right after the release of Simmba, she teamed up with another brilliant filmmaker, Imtiaz Ali, for a romantic film which has been recently titled Aaj Kal.

If you are a Bollywood buff, you would clearly remember that before making her debut with Kedarnath, Sara Ali Khan was in talks with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for her grand launch in showbiz.

However, since Dharma Productions took some time in finalizing the right project for her launch, she rushed to Abhishek Kapoor and entered the industry with his film, Kedarnath. Had she waited a little more, she could have been the next blue-eyed girl at Dharma Productions, say reports.

According to reports, Sara Ali Khan could have been a part of Dostana 2. But her impatience at the start of her career cost her so many film-deals with Dharma.

However, what is surprising is that Kartik and Janhvi are not romantically paired opposite each other in Dostana 2. They are playing siblings who fall for the same guy. If fresh reports are to be believed, former actress Farah Naaz’s son, Fateh Randhawa, has been roped in to play the second male lead in the much-awaited sequel to Dostana (2008).
