Sushmita Sen went on to become the first Indian to be crowned at the Miss Universe in the year 1994. The actor beat Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and became the winner of Miss India while the latter was the runner-up, who also became Miss World 1994. But did you know it was Sushmita who was first asked to go for Miss World?
In a recent interaction, Sushmita Sen shared a shocking story, recalling an incident in the past. She revealed that she had lost her passport right before she was supposed to leave for the Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines.
She said:

Even though Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen went ahead and won the Miss World and Miss Universe competitions respectively, there were rumors about cold vibes being exchanged between the two of them. Incidentally, both of them decided to jump onto the Bollywood bandwagon and hence round two of the same rivalry started. Sushmita Sen rebuffed the rumors and said, "I have always been very warm to her".
