Coolie No.1’s Latest Song Is Way Sexier, Brighter, Suitable For Young Audiences, But Many Prefer The Original Ver

It goes without saying the collaboration between Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan and Bollywood princess Sara Ali Khan in Coolie No.1 is hotly anticipated. Every new update about the film soon becomes headlines-breaking material. This time around is no exception.

The makers recently dropped the remade version of Tujhko Mirchi Lagi. The remake of iconic chartbusters from the last century is said to be way spicier. Varun and Sara step into the shoes of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor respectively. The youthfulness of the duo delivers a breath of fresh air to the song.

The song is performed by the duet Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu. It’s not getting a mixed response from the public.

Taking to his Instagram handle to share the song, Varun captioned,

“#MirchiLagiToh song out now! 🌶️ #iconic relive the 90’s because im done with 2020."

Catchy melody, passionate dance moves, and colorful backdrops let out a modern breath for the song which first released in the 90s. Watch the song below:

Director David Dhawan, in an interview, talked about this new version of the classic song. He said that the tracks of the original film are all timeless and immensely popular. According to him, reusing these songs helped the film a lot. Not just this, Dhawan also revealed that music directors and the lyricist who produced the original are so close to him.

As soon as the song was launched, it opened to mixed reactions. Some fans are way too stunned with the song’s fun, bright beat and even call it a new blockbuster hit. Meanwhile, others still prefer the original version.
