Dipika Kakar Returns To Fiction With Star Plus’ “Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum”

Dipika Kakar, who played the female lead in Colors’ long-running show “Sasural Simar Ka” before lifting the “Bigg Boss 12” trophy earlier this year, is returning to fiction shows after a gap of two years.

Dipika Kakar became a household name after playing the female lead on Rashmi Sharma Telefilms’ long-running show, Sasural Simar Ka. After the successful soap opera came to an end in 2017, the talented actress went on to participate in Salman Khan’s controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 12. Leaving several top contenders behind on the show, Dipika Kakar walked away with the Bigg Boss 12 trophy. The unexpected win helped her see a meteoric rise in her popularity.

After basking is in the glory of her Bigg Boss win, Dipika Kakar is finally returning to work. The actress is playing the female lead in an upcoming show called Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, produced by Sandiip Sikcand. Handsome television star Karan V Grover is playing her love interest on the show. Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has come onboard to be the narrator of the series.

According to reports, Dipika Kakar plays a TV actress on Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum. Her character is called Sonakshi. Talking more about her character on the show, the actress says,

Karan V Grover, who was last seen in Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, will be seen in the role of a surgeon named Rohit Sippy. Sonakshi and Rohit both come from different backgrounds and have different ideologies. However, they fall in love with each other and what happens next in their journey forms the crux of the story.

Produced by SOL Productions, Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum is scheduled to hit the airwaves on 17th June on Star Plus.
