Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are suddenly in the new normal. The borders are still closed, we practice social distancing every day, spend time at home more, and aren’t allowed to travel. In an attempt to fatten the outbreak curve, the governments of many countries across the world are giving extra miles to give their citizens new regulations. The UK is a case in point.
Recently, the government of this county brought in the new rules which will ban anyone from practicing social distancing with a person from outside their home.
The brand-new regulation read:
“No person may participate in a gathering which takes place in a public or private place indoors, and consists of two or more persons.”
It also says,
"No person may, without reasonable excuse, stay overnight at any place other than the place where they are living.”
It means that sex at home but with someone from a different household is considered an illegal action. No prize for guessing the new rules has stirred up a storm of controversies among the country’s residents, especially the millennials.
Lockdown doesn’t allow them to hang out and now they can’t visit their friends, family, and boy/girlfriends. However, they can still meet them at a household outdoors as long as they strictly follow the 6-feet-apart social distancing guidelines.
However, a lot of people completely agree with the new regulations as they hope this can help combat the spread of the virus.
Obviously, no one wants the pandemic to last longer and everyone wants to back to their normal life as soon as possible.
What do you think about the new regulations in the UK? What if it’s also brought in India?
