More Spring Athletics Season Canceled Due To Coronavirus Outbreak: NBA, NCAA, IPL Delayed

As the trajectory of coronavirus is continuing to expand, so many athletics championships have to put it to a stop, including NCAA, NBA, MLB, and many others. Check out the list of spring athletics seasons that were canceled.

Recently, Anderson University and the University of Hawaii Athletics officially announced the cancellation of all practices and athletic events until the end of spring. There are also many other tournaments and spring athletics season canceled due to the globally expanding of the deadly virus.
According to the athletics department of AU, the final decision was made as the trajectory of coronavirus is continuing to spread. Although the cancellation affects student-athletes and minimizes their time to compete, it is essential to call off all athletics events and make sure everyone is safe.
Earlier, the NCAA decided to cancel both men and women basketball tournaments to avoid the spread of the coronavirus. This action was taken one day after the announcement that the game must take place in empty arenas. However, as both MLB and NBA have put it to a stop, NCAA came to the final conclusion of cancellation too.
Following the NCAA's announcement, all spring athletics events and championship of the University of Hawaii Athletics will also be dissolved. According to the athletics director of the institution, it was such a pity that many senior students would miss their last chance to take part in the university championship. However, people’s health is the utmost priority that nothing can compare.
Meanwhile, the University of Southern Indiana Athletics also made it official that its spring athletic season including games, public appearances, and all practices will be canceled starting from today, March 19.
Sports events in India face the same situation as India Football Federation delayed all of their tournaments, IPL which was initially scheduled to open on March 29 was postponed till April 15. In addition to that, the Professional Golf Tour of India announced that their tournaments will not be opened until 'the situation allows'.
