Prabhas Donates A Whopping Amount For The Cause Of Preventing The Pandemic

Following the footsteps of other celebrities, South Indian film star Prabhas was the latest Tollywood actor to donate for the cause of preventing the COVID-19 pandemic. The Baahubali star donated a whopping Rs 4 crore. Of this, Rs 3 crore is for the National Relief Fund of Prime Minister and Rs 50 lakh each go for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister Relief Funds.
The actor recently returned home from Georgia where Prabhas was filming for his forthcoming project titled Prabhas 20 along with actress Pooja Hegde. Both of them had to go under 14-day self-quarantine.
For those who are unversed, helmed by KK Radha Krishna and jointly produced by Gopi Krishna Movies and UV Creations, the film is a romantic entertainer. The film is set in the 1960-70’s Europe backdrop and scheduled to hit the screens on 14 November 2020.
Talking about the generous donations of celebrities, earlier several Telugu megastars including Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, and Chiranjeevi had donated to help the country in the battle of combating COVID-19. To be specific, Pawan Kalyan was the pioneer to kick-off the celebrity donation campaign as he initially made the noble gesture by giving Rs 2 crore for the fund. Shortly later, his nephew Ram Charan also went on record to pledge a charity of Rs 70 lakh. Meanwhile, his father, senior megastar of Telugu film industry, Chiranjeevi, donated Rs 1 crore. The household name and also a young star Mahesh Babu gave Rs 1 crore.
