Alia Bhatt, who is busy shooting for her upcoming film Kalank, is meeting one of the biggest challenges in her life. As some sources reported, she is taking a private Telugu class every day for the sake of the film RRR which marks her South Indian film debut. The Gully Boy actress confidently says that she will be able to learn Telugu. Furthermore, she wants to dub the dialogues herself in S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR as well.
Alia's determination to perform her dialogues in Telugu
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Alia shared it can’t be denied the fact that learning Telugu is not easy and it turns to be a challenge to her. For her, Telugu is an eloquent language. She wants to know “the nuances” of it, the reasons why people pronounce the word like that, and its beauty in the meaning. Moreover, she believes that she can show her character’s feelings only when she learns and understands this language.
Alia is striving and putting her soul into getting the language. The phenomenally talented Alia Bhatt reveals that saying an entire sentence in Telugu is an achievement for her.
Talking about her offered role in director Rajamouli’s film, she exclaimed: "Saying yes to the offer was a no-brainer. When I started my career as a leading lady, there were three filmmakers I really wanted to work with. I got launched by one of them, Karan Johar, and now I’m working with the other two - Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rajamouli.”
RRR is a fictitious story based on the lives of freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan and Jr NTR will play in the role of these two characters together with Alia. The film takes the 1920s setting.
On Alia’s work front, she will be next seen in Kalank directed by Abhishek Varman, and share the screen space with Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, and other actors. This film will hit the theatres on April 17.
