Pooja Sawant is not a new name in the Marathi industry. She has made her presence felt since her 2010 Marathi film debut Kshanbhar Vishranti. It's safe to say Pooja Sawant hot body is revealed not just when she wears swimsuit or bikini but also when she puts on Indian traditional saree.

Pooja Sawant was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Pooja attended Balmohan Vidyamandir to complete her primary education and graduated from SIWS College of Science and Commerce. Before her debut, she had appeared in Marathi reality dance show Eka Peksha Ek Jodicha Mamla.

Her 2010 movie Kshanbhar Vishranti was a multi starrer and also acquired cult status amongst Marathi movie lovers. Again 2011 she appeared in Marathi movie Zhakaas opposite Ankush Choudhary. This movie went on to become a blockbuster.

Again in 2015, she was shot to headlines with another box office hit Daagdi Chawl. In this movie too she was cast opposite to Ankush Chaudhary. The movie went on to gross 20 Crore in the box office.

Talking about her personal life. Pooja Sawant is 30 years old and was born on 25th January 1990. She has been honoured with awards like Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award (for the film Lapachhapi in 2017), Maharashtra's Most Desirable Women in 2018 and MFK Golden Diva in 2019.

Recently, she had started her shoot for her 2015's mega-blockbuster sequel mega Daagdi Chawl 2. In a very recent interview with an online portal, she had mentioned that her favourite actor is Salman Khan.

She is a known foodie in her friend's circle with a great liking for Chinese and Thai foods. When asked about her favourite actress she was very quick to reply that she admires Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Smita Patil a lot.

Since childhood, she had participated in a lot of dance competition and the actress believes that this is the main reason behind her impeccable expressions.

It would be interesting to know how big her role would be in Daagdi Chawl 2 and will the movie be able to surpass its previous box office collection of 20 Crore mark.
