Samantha Signed On To Topline A Multilingual Webseries

Samantha Akkineni, one of the leading actresses in the Telugu film industry, is on cloud nine these days! Almost all her movies in the recent past have done phenomenally well at the box-office.

She hit a hat-trick of successful movies with U Turn (2017), Super Deluxe (2019) and Majili (2019). The gorgeous actress has delivered yet another megahit in the form of her recent release Oh Baby (2019). The fantasy comedy film ran to packed houses in several theatres across the country.

Oh Baby, which is an official remake of well-known South Korean film Miss Granny (2014), hit screens a couple of weeks ago on 5^th July. The audience had a lot of expectations from the film simply because Samantha has been on a winning spree these days.

Meeting all expectations of the audience, Oh Baby opened to great numbers and turned out to be an instant success at the cash counter. The film went on to gross over ₹ 50 crore.

Talking about the next film of Samantha, she presently has only one film in her pocket, which is the Telugu remake of 96 (2018). However, if fresh reports doing the rounds are to be believed, the talented actress has bagged a multilingual webseries.

Yes, you heard it right! Samantha has signed a webseries which is currently being shot in Chennai. The multilingual project is being made simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. We hear that the series has been commissioned by a leading streamer. More details on the same are awaited.

The humongous success of Oh Baby has proved one thing quite emphatically that Samantha is a creative force to reckon with, who can draw audiences to theatres on her own. No wonder leading OTT platforms have also recognized her calibre and are offering her high-profile web-shows.
