Dhananjay To Team Up With Allu Arjun In “Pushpa”

Dhananjay, one of the most popular actors working in Kannada cinema, debuted in Tollywood with acclaimed filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s bilingual romantic action thriller Bhairava Geetha (2018).
According to fresh reports, Dhananjay has now been signed on to essay a pivotal role in Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun’s next film Pushpa, which the latter announced on his 37th birthday on 8th April, 2020.
The makers were initially planning to approach Bobby Simhaa and Raj Deepak Shetty for the same role. However, Dhananjay got lucky and bagged the role in the upcoming forest-based multilingual thriller.
Reportedly, Dhananjay will be seen portraying a brief yet significant role which will appear at an important juncture in the film. He has signed the project on the dotted line and is thrilled about teaming up with Allu Arjun in his second film.
Pushpa will be directed by hit filmmaker Sukumar. The film marks his hat-trick collaboration with Allu Arjun. Though nothing much is known about the forthcoming project, some sources reveal that it revolves around red sandalwood smuggling and is set against the backdrop of Seshachalam forest in the hilly region of Tirumala.
Talking about other cast members, the makers are yet to reveal the complete cast and crew. However, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Sethupathi have been confirmed for important characters in the film. Sukumar is currently busy with the pre-production work on the project. The film will enter production after the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown is lifted and things get back to normal once again.
Pushpa is a multilingual film which will hit the marquee in five languages, including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. This will be Allu Arjun’s first pan-Indian project with such a wide theatrical release.
