To every bride or groom, the wedding is expected to be the happiest day of their lives. But along with it is the stress of planning for a perfect celebration. Below are 6 small things that can easily become biggies.
You feel so lucky that after a long time of being in a relationship, you can finally make it official. And it's time for the most expected day in your life - the wedding day. However, planning for it seems not to be smooth, according to brides and grooms who experienced before. What things could make this a serious game?
1. Arranging seats
You don't want to start unneeded drama during your ceremony by putting friends who already don't like each other into the same table. The same goes for your family. However, you don't want to let everyone feel like they are in the high school cafeteria as there are 'interesting' and 'boring' tables. Generally, everyone should be satisfied with their seats as well as the wedding ceremony.
2. Working with vendors
Here's the fact, most vendors prefer to use phones as the main mean of contact with you, instead of emails for your convenience. To finish every detail of your wedding day, a vendor might even want to meet you in person. Unluckily, punctuation barely happens as they are only humans like you and they are as busy as you are. So it means that you have to wait, wait for their calls or official meetings.
3. Coping with others' opinions
Admittedly, opinions from family members are important as they are expected to be the best for you. However, when things go too far and out of control, like why that guest is invited or which song should be played, you should stop giving care over them.
After all, what truly matters is your and your lover's thoughts.
4. Always thinking of your budget
Whether it is simple or monumental, a wedding celebration is extremely expensive. It means you have to make a great effort to fit everything within your financial condition.
There are millions of ways to actualize your wedding dream but you have to stay realistic. However, it doesn't mean that you are not deserved to have the happiest wedding day.
5. Making the reasonable guest list
When it comes to reception, you don't want to have too many guests while your plate is only about 100 dollars. Therefore, you have to carefully select the guest list.
You have to find out who you want to share your special day with, who complete your wedding day and perhaps, who you have a good relationship with. If someone you haven't contacted for a while, you might not put them on the list.
6. Preparing every detail specifically
To a wedding planner, it's not only picking a DJ or photographer, but there are also tons of things you have to deal with, such as the color of tablecloths, songs for the slow dance and so on. You have lots of decisions to be made, which will totally stress you out.
And when you feel like you can not handle everything anymore, always believe that things will be alright at the end of the day.
So, to a bride or a groom, to plan the whole wedding ceremony appears to be extremely terrible. But it is once in a lifetime, it's worthy. It's not only your special day but your beloved ones' happy day, like your best friends, your family members.
Don't be panic if things don't go well! As long as you are ready to spend the rest of your life with your partner, the wedding day is just a date.
