First look At Chris Pratt's Second Character Rex Dangervest In The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

Warner Bros. has released the new trailer for "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part", in which Chris Pratt not only returns as Emmet Brickowski but also voices as Rex Dangervest - a newly-created character.

The original LEGO Movie hit theaters back in 2014 and became a great commercial success and a surprise critical. There were also two sequels namely  The Lego Batman Movie (2017) and The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017).  The next film brings audiences back to Bricksburg after it turned into a Mad Max style wasteland.

It begins with the scene that Wyldstyle realizes Lego Duplo - alien invaders from outer space wrecking everything. When Wyldstyle is kidnapped by General Mayhem, Emmet blames on himself and builds a ship to rescue her. On the way to a strange galaxy, the innocent boy gets support from Rex Dangervest who regards himself as a "Galaxy defender, archaeologist, cowboy, and raptor trainer."

This sequel reunites the stars from the original cast and adds Tiffany Haddish as Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, the powerful leader of the DUPLO aliens. The Lego Movie 2 will see Trisha Gum and Mike Mitchell helm and Raphael Bob-Waksberg pen the script rewrites.

The voice cast includes Chris Pratt on double duties as Emmet Brickowski and Rex Dangervest, Will Arnett (Batman), Alison Brie (Princess Unikitty), Nick Offerman (MetalBeard), Stephanie Beatriz (Sweet Mayhem), Channing Tatum (Superman), Jonah Hill (Green Lantern), Charlie Day (Benny the Spaceman) and Arturo Castro (Ice Cream Cone).

The film is slated to hit the cinemas February 8, 2019.
