OFFICIALLY! “Avengers: Endgame” Defeats “Avatar” To Be The Biggest Movie In The Box Office

Finally, “Avengers: Endgame” of Marvel breaks the box office record of the legendary hit “Avatar” just yesterday. Kevin Feige showed his gratitude to fans for making it on top spot in history.

On Saturday, parent company Disney gave a speech saying that Avengers: Endgame of Marvel Cinematic Universe would collect the highest-grossing at the box office in history. Until Friday, the smash blockbuster gained just over $500,000 behind the 10-year-old record of $2,789.7 million set up by Avatar that James Cameron directed and “will close this gap by tomorrow”.

It was a coincidence of the announcement with Marvel president Kevin Feige’s appearance at San Diego Comic-Con to set a schedule package of new upcoming movies and TV shows in MCU.

The Disney announcement of the imminent record showed that there was an upward adjustment in the box office figure of Avatar to reflect supplementary reissue grosses through overseas areas in the past some years.

It applied the same to Avengers: Endgame when the figure was also altered through overseas gross reconciliation when coming to an end. Disney now owes both cinematic hits after taking over 21^stCentury Fox.
