While the coronavirus pandemic is taking the UK by storm with more than 9000 confirmed cases, Prince Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, became the first royal member to test positive to the novel virus. The news was confirmed by the prince’s office and his doctor. However, they also added that he only shows mild signs and remains in good condition and

The heir to the British is now practicing quarantine in the royal estate in Scotland. His health condition will be monitored closely by royal doctors under government guidelines. Due to the high number of people he met for the last few weeks, it's unknown from whom he contracted the virus. Meanwhile, his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, tested negative.

According to a source, the dutch and dutchess of Cambridge are now quarantining in their country house in the parish of Sandringham with their children Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and, Prince George. The family is reportedly going to stay here until the pandemic gets over as Charlotte and George and continue studying via the remote learning platform.

The dutch and dutchess of Sussex moved to Vancouver, Canada along with their baby Archie after the last trip to the UK earlier this month to declare their step down from royal duties. After Prince Charles tests positive to coronavirus, they also took to Instagram a couple of posts calling out for solidarity and reminding other royal members to set good examples to other people.

One week before Prince Charles tests positive to coronavirus, Queen Elizabeth II sent an official announcement saying that she and her husband were leaving for Windsor Castle for self-quarantine. Her Majesty the Queen addressed the epidemic as ‘a period of great concern and uncertainty’ and call out people to put it on hold on their daily routines for the sake of the whole community.

The last time Queen Elizabeth II met her son Prince Charles was on 12th March. She tested negative to coronavirus and is preparing for her farewell.

Meanwhile, by Thursday, March 26, the UK has become the 9th-highest country affected by coronavirus with 9,529 confirmed cases and 465 deaths in total.
