Anushka Sharma In Talks To Topline Biopic On Cricketer Jhulan Goswami?

Anushka Sharma has been missing from the scene for quite a long time now. Her last release was Zero (2018) alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The high-profile movie hit screens with a lot of fanfare, but it could not succeed in meeting the high expectations of the audience and turned out to be a loss-making affair for all the stakeholders involved. Anushka Sharma has not announced any new project since the debacle of Zero more than a year ago.

However, rumours are doing the rounds in the tinsel town of Bollywood that the talented actress is in the process of locking her next project. According to a publication, Anushka Sharma has been approached to headline a biopic based on the life of Jhulan Goswami, former Indian captain of women’s cricket team. Reportedly, a leading production house is working on the project and if all goes well, Anushka Sharma will come onboard to play the lead in the biopic of the all-rounder.

While Sharma stayed away from showbiz for some time, rumour mills went into overdrive saying that the actress was planning to start a family with husband Virat Kohli. However, when a leading entertainment magazine asked her about the same, she denied all baseless rumours.

She had said that if you are married then people ask, “Is she pregnant?” They love to read into something when there really is not anything. It’s so hard for people to believe that someone would like to take time off to be rejuvenated. You shouldn’t deny yourself that because it’s important to be able to think fresh. Then you can take the right decisions. You need to have a balanced mind to take the right calls in life.

We are surely awaiting the announcement confirming her next project.
