Sunny Deol On The Tiff With Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Chopra, “They Were Wrong”

Reports had it that Sunny Deol hasn’t teamed up with Yash Chopra and talked with Shah Rukh Khan for almost 16 years. The actor recently in an interaction with media officially opened up on this incident.

Bollywood aficionado might be yet to forget the showdown between to superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol on the film sets of Darr (1993). The movie was helmed and produced by filmmaker Yash Chopra. Rumors mill were then abuzz of a major tiff between Sunny and his director and co-star.
Reports had it that Deol hasn’t teamed up with Chopra and talked with Khan for almost 16 years. The actor recently in an interaction with media officially opened up on this incident.
On being asked if SRK and Yash felt scared of him while shooting for Darr, Sunny stated,
He went on to recall the time they were collaborating. Sunny said,
Similarly, in a recent interview with Filmfare, the actor also showed his disagreements with Yash Chopra. He affirmed that he would never collaborate with Yash again as according to him, the director is not “a man of his words.”
Earlier, in a press interaction, Sunny talked about Shah Rukh Khan. He said the audience eventually loved him as well as SRK. However, one thing he didn’t know that people would praise “the villain.”
He further added that he always works with “an open heart” and “believe the person.” However, Sunny said some actors “don’t function in this manner” and it might the way he thinks they want to shoot to stardom.
For the uninitiated, Sunny Deol was one of the most prominent stars in B-town in the 1990s, though Darr was considered as the film that brought fame to Shah Rukh Khan.
The fact is that Sunny’s latest release Blank turned out to be a box office flop as it collected only Rs 5 crore.
