Parineeti Chopra Regrets Losing Out On Shoojit Sircar’s “Piku” To Deepika Padukone

Parineeti Chopra, who was most recently seen in a brief role in Dharma Productions’ war period drama, Kesari (2019), admits that she regrets losing out on filmmakers Shoojit Sircar’s much-loved film, Piku (2015).
The actress reveals that she lost the film to Deepika Padukone because of some confusion. Piku, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan in key roles, is considered one of the finest films of all the actors associated with it.
Parineeti Chopra recently appeared on a popular chat show where she was accompanied by her best friend and ace tennis player, Sania Mirza. Opening up about losing Piku to Deepika Padukone, the Ishaqzaade (2012) actress revealed that, contrary to reports, she did not turn down the movie.
She, in fact, lost it because of some confusion.
Meanwhile, Parineeti Chopra is presently busy shooting for her upcoming projects. She indeed has some exciting films in her pocket at the moment and if they turn out to be box-office hits upon their release, things could change for the better for the actress who has not tasted success in a while.
Parineeti Chopra will shortly be seen in Jabariya Jodi. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the romcom pairs her opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The duo was last seen together in Phantom Films and Dharma Productions’ Hasee Toh Phasee in 2014. Her next release will be Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which reunites her with Arjun Kapoor after their 2018 outing, Namastey England.
The gorgeous actress is also shooting for an untitled film with director Anurag Basu. She also stars in badminton player Saina Nehwal’s biopic, Saina, and the Hindi remake of Hollywood film, The Girl On The Train.
