The movie will be available on Netflix since February 26. The shooting for the film was announced back in May 2019.

“I am super excited to be shooting this film because this is a role that I have never experienced before, read before and I think the audience has never experienced this kind of acting piece from me.”

• Aditi Rao Hydari as Gopika Mehta

Among The Girl on the Train cast 2021, Aditi Rao Hydari will also play the lead character.

Speaking of acting in a remake film, she said,

"Ribhu wrote in my character completely. Also, for us, as actors this was a new experience altogether. It was a new memory we were living and we had not played these characters or had these experiences before."

The actress has been in several successful movies like Pink, Mission Mangal, Uri: The Surgical Strike. In fact, the latter two films are among the highest-grossing Bollywood movies.

For those who have not known, the movie is based on the famous novel in 2015 of British author Paula Hawkins. It is the story of a divorced woman who daily commutes on a train. She keeps fantasizing about the perfect couple who reside in a house which her train passes by every day.
