Varun Dhawan Supports Non-Plastic Propaganda As "Coolie No.1" Sets Go All Plastic-Free

Varun Dhawan shared a picture of "Coolie No 1" cast and crew, asserting that they all go plastic-free as a move of environment protection act.

Actor Varun Dhawan is recently in Bangkok to film for Coolie No.1 and the actor urged everybody to take on the plastic-free work post receiving a great gift from Jackky Bhagnani, his fellow star.

Varun shared a photo of the said gift which was a large mug with the Coolie No.1 slogan imprinted on it. Accompanied by the mug was a message,

, Varun Dhawan wrote in the photo’s caption.

The post came round as a support for the propaganda of PM Narendra Modi about turning India into plastic-free on the broadcast of his radio monthly, Mann Ki Baat.

Prime Minister Modi also emphasized the significance of keeping public places clean as part of national campaign Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Coolie No.1 original version was helmed by director David Dhawan, father of Varun Dhawan. The film starred Karisma Kapoor and Govinda and was a big success in 1995. This project names the second collaboration of the father-son duo David Dhawan and Varun after Judwaa 2, a 2017 hit movie.

In Coolie No.1, Varun will be seen opposite Sara Ali Khan for the first time ever. It is scheduled to go on floors in May next year.
