Ranveer Singh revealed the blessings from his newly-married wife were sought as Deepika was the ‘Lakshmi who has come home’.

Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty’s photo from the success celebration for their film Simmba caught the fans’ eye on many social media platforms as the trio were seen finding blessings from actor Deepika Padukone. Producer Karan added this picture to his Instagram story and captioned, “Good luck blessings’.

The picture instantly set the Internet on fire and Ranveer, at the trailer release of his forthcoming movie Gully Boy, spoke about the picture. The star revealed the blessings from his newly-married wife were sought as Deepika was the ‘Lakshmi who has come home’.

Ranveer Singh told Pinkvilla how right before the picture was clicked as a conversation had taken place in which they were talking about the ‘lady luck’ of Ranveer and how ‘Lakshmi has come home”. It stands to reason that they should take the blessings from Lakshmi (as in the Goddess of wealth).

Workwise, the forthcoming film Gully Boy of Ranveer is scheduled to hit the theaters on 7 February. The film talks about the life of a slum-rapper who reaches the pinnacle of his career and how he makes his dream come true. Meanwhile, actress Alia Bhatt will be playing the female lead and from the first-look poster of the film, it will probably be another hard-to-forget role for Alia. The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Excel Entertainment team.
