Ranbir Kapoor Starrer “Shamshera” To Start Rolling Soon

Rumoured were rife of late that Yash Raj Films’ ambitious dacoit drama “Shamshera” had hit a roadblock. However, if a report published in an Indian daily is to be believed, the makers are planning to roll the camera soon.

Ranbir Kapoor, who was last seen in the Rajkumar Hirani directorial Sanju (2018), is currently busy shooting for his ambitious film Brahmastra. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy in lead roles, the fantasy drama faced some production delays in the past, which also turned out to be a sore hindrance in the production of Kapoor’s next film Shamshera.

Ranbir Kapoor was about to start shooting for Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera right after wrapping up Brahmastra. However, Dharma Productions’ Brahmastra is still in production due to which Kapoor is unable to kick-start Shamshera’s shoot.

Besides, rumours were also rife that the failure of the Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Sonchiriya (2019) led the makers of Shamshera to tweak the storyline of the film in order to make it more commercial. Some media outlets even reported that the project had been shelved.

However, if a report published in an Indian daily is to be believed, the Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor starrer Shamshera is on track. The shoot of the YRF movie is being set up at Goregaon Film City in Mumbai.
