The latest we hear that Pooja Hegde is set to romance Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in his next film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali which was announced a couple of weeks ago. Confirming the development, producer Sajid Nadiadwala tells a publication that having worked with Pooja Hegde in Housefull 4, they felt that the actress was a perfect fit for the forthcoming film. She has an amazing screen presence and will make for a good pair with Salman. They will bring freshness to the story.

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is a family entertainer. Writer-director Farhad Samji will direct the film which is set to hit the marquee on Eid 2021. Talking about how it is a special subject for the trio, Nadiadwala adds that Judwaa (1997) was one of Salman and Bollywood’s first Eid releases. Even his directorial debut, Kick (2014), opened during the festival.

According to reports, Salman Khan will be seen in a totally new avatar in the movie, and a team is currently working on deciding his look. Pooja Hegde will play the role of a traditional small-town girl who is diametrically opposite to the character that Khan plays. The actress has previously played a small-town girl in a few South Indian movies, and hence the makers thought that she would fit the bill perfectly. The movie revolves around a mature love story between the two characters, and Pooja’s track acts as the catalyst to the plot.
