Bollywood icon Salman Khan has been impressing fans with his ripped, muscular physique for years. From rocking the shirtless look in Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya back in 1998 to still looking jacked as he nears 60, Salman’s clearly doing something right. His longtime trainer, Rakkesh R Uddiyar, who’s been with him for over two decades, once spilled the beans on how he stays in top shape.
No Long Breaks, Just Quick Steps
Rakkesh says those short walks between exercises—about 30 seconds—are enough rest. This HIIT style makes you sweat buckets, tires you out fast, and burns more calories in less time. Salman keeps his workouts tight, wrapping up in 45 minutes to an hour, which Rakkesh says is backed by science.
Six Days a Week, No Excuses
The Kick star is super consistent, training six days a week with one rest day. On days he’s shooting action scenes or dancing a ton, cardio might take a backseat, but weight training is non-negotiable. Salman’s been at this for 30-40 years, so he knows his body inside out. He pushes hard for shirtless scenes and eases up when he can.
Morning Cardio and Weights Daily
The Dabangg star kicks off his day with fasted cardio right after waking up. Weight training happens whenever he can squeeze it in—before, after, or even during a shoot. No weights, no cardio? He won’t sleep!
Home-Cooked Meals for the Win
Salman’s all about simple, home-cooked food, especially made by his mom, Salma Khan. No fancy stuff—he’ll turn down anything else and say, “Just give me mom’s cooking.” Breakfast is porridge, eggs, and fruit. Lunch is home-cooked fish or chicken with rice and tons of veggies, especially salads. For action scenes, he cuts back on food two months ahead but goes back to normal afterward. No strict diet plan, just healthy eating.
Cheat Meals, But Chill
Even Salman enjoys a cheat meal once a week, but he keeps it in check, never going over 2,000 calories. Rakkesh says he’s never seen him overdo it.
Work Updates
On the work side, Salman’s latest flick, Sikandar, with Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal, didn’t do great at the box office. It hit OTT platforms on May 25 after its theater run.
