PM Narendra Modi Wishes Rakesh Roshan Speedy Recovery After Hrithik Roshan Reveals His Cancer Diagnosis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent his wishes to Rakesh Roshan who is suffering from cancer.

After Hrithik Roshan took to Twitter to tweet about his father’s cancer diagnosis and will undergo surgery for the health issue on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Rakesh Roshan a speedy recovery.

Soon, Hrithik responded to his tweet and thanked him for his wishes, “Thank you Sir for your concern and good wishes. I am very happy to inform that according to the doctors his surgery has gone off well,” the tweet read.

Hrithik Roshan revealed on social media that his father Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. Sharing a post showing himself and father in a gym on Instagram, he captioned,

Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldnt miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. . Love you Dad.

A host of Bollywood celebrities wished his speedy recovery include Abhishek Bachchan, Aalim Hakim, Sanjay Kapoor, Darshan Kumar, Dabboo Ratnani, Vishal Dadlani and Nandish Sandhu.

Previously, Hrithik Roshan's sister Sunaina had been through a broken marriage, battled depression, diabetes but she emerged as a survivor.

Rakesh Roshan is known for directing films like Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Kishen Kanhaiya and Krrish film series. He is also known for his performance in films like Khoobsurat, Khel Khel Mein and others.
