Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh teamed up for the first time but not as director-actor. Ranveer’s latest hit Simmba was jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. For those unversed, the film was directed by Rohit Shetty and also featured Sara Ali Khan as the female lead. For the record, Simmba, at the box office, collected over Rs 200 crores and established it as a force to be reckoned with. Ranveer together with Rohit, Sara, and Kjo are basking in the glory of the film’s success.

Karan Johar will be collaborating with Ranveer in his upcoming directorial film project Takht starring Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar. The film is slated to be shot in April or May 2019.

Speaking of Ranveer Singh, the star is now occupied with promoting his forthcoming movie Gully Boy. The film, directed by filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, stars actress Alia Bhatt. It is all set to hit the theatres on Valentine’s day this year.
