Kangana Ranaut will produce and direct films under her newly launched production house. However, she is yet to announce any venture as a director or producer under the production house.

Kangana Ranaut has added yet another feather to her cap. After spending close to two and a half decade in Bollywood, delivering a number of successful films and winning accolades all across the world, she has set-up her own production house. The three-time National Film Award winning actress had been wanting to start her own banner for more than a decade. And now, she has finally realized one of her most coveted dreams.

Kangana Ranaut has named her production house Manikarnika Films. She will direct and produce films under the production house. Interestingly, the name of her banner seems to be inspired from one of her career’s most successful films, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019), which was based on the life of warrior queen Laxmibai.

It may be recalled that Kangana shared the directorial credit for her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi with South Indian filmmaker Krish. Krish had left the film midway and when the makers could not find an apt replacement, the Queen (2013) actress took over the project and completed it.

She is presently busy promoting her upcoming film Panga. Also starring Richa Chadha, Jassie Gill and Neena Gupta in lead roles, the sports drama is helmed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. Panga is scheduled to hit the big screen on 24th January 2020.
