Actress Kangana Ranaut stepped into shoes of a director in the year 2019 with film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Even though the film raised a storm of controversy among the audiences and the critics, looks like Kangana doesn’t give up her preference for directing. The actor has recently opted out of Anurag Basu’s film Imali as she wants to focus on her directorial venture.
Kangana has several projects lined up in her kitty comprising of Mental Hai Kya, film Panga and the recently announced Jayalalithaa biopic Thalaivi. She said,

For the uninitiated, Kangana Ranaut made her acting debut in the film Gangster in 2006 alongside Emraan Hashmi. The film Imali would mark the 3rd collaboration of Kangana and director Anurag Basu, but it would not happen anymore.
