Last seen in Helicopter Eela (2018), Kajol has now given her nod to play a pivotal part in an upcoming Hindi film Tribhanga. The movie marks the directorial debut of well-known film and television actress, Renuka Shahane, in Bollywood.

Before signing Kajol, Renuka Shahane had already finalized veteran actress Shabana Azmi and digital sensation, Mithila Palkar. Mithila entered Bollywood with the Irrfan Khan and Dulquer Salmaan starrer road-trip movie, Karwaan (2018).

Before bagging Karwaan, she had played a small role in Katti Batti (2015), starring Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan in pivotal roles.

Renuka Shahane had recently said that her directorial debut would feature three female protagonists. After finalizing Shabana Azmi and Mithila Palkar, she has now roped in Kajol as the third female protagonist. The casting of the male actors will happen later.
