Jiah Khan’s Death Investigation: CCTV Footage Was Not Tampered, Says CBI

On June 3, 2013, the whole B-town was shocked to hear that actor Jiah Khan committed suicide. She was found hanging in her own room after breaking up with actor Sooraj Pancholi. Right after that, Mumbai Police arrested Sooraj Pancholi for interrogation.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was in charge of the investigation. However, they have ruled out the cases of tampered CCTV footage in the society building that she lived in.

Her Mother Said That It Was Homicide

Khan’s mother claimed that the CCTV of the building can help identify the suspects.

According to Khan’s mother, it looked like someone had throttled Khan before hanging her up to stage a suicide scene. In addition to that, the mother also stated that they should place the reliance on the CCTV footage of the building. There is a high possibility that we can see the suspect around the building.

On Wednesday, the CBI submitted the examination report of the forensic lab on the CDs which contains Khan’s social circle recorded in CCTV. Rabia had petitioned the Bombay high court for investigating as she strongly believes that someone had altered the actual footage. Therefore, Bombay high court finally gave the order to submit that report.

Khan’s Mother had directly pointed her finger at her daughter’s then-boyfriend Sooraj as well as Aditya Pancholi - his father. She blamed them for the death of Jiah Khan. 

There Is No Chance That The CCTV Footage Is Fake

Regardless of the allegation of her mom, CBI has also officially ruled out the possibility of edited CCTV footage as the forensic lab of Gandhinagar has studied it carefully.

Recently, the Gandhinagar Directorate of Forensic Science has published a report.  In which, there are no alternation, edits or modifications happened to the CCTV footage which presented in the hard disk.
