Sonam Kapoor is absolutely unstoppable with her true diva sense. After making a debut in 2008, the actress has given blockbusters like Neerja, Khoobsurat, Sanju, Veere Di Wedding and several others.
Known for her confidence and fashion sense, the actress is currently reading scripts and will be soon announcing a film. During an interview, she spoke in detail about she reads and signs film based on the storyline and her characters.
She was asked how doesn't it makes her nervous while signing films and working on a certain character, to which Sonam Kapoor said, “It made me understand that fear is not something to avoid. But if you face fear, it makes you courageous. Being brave doesn’t mean being devoid of fear. It means that even though you’re afraid, you still go ahead and do what you’re supposed to do.”
She also spoke about the scripts she is currently looking for and confirmed that she will be soon announcing a film which will go on floors next year.
Describing how she picks a film and if the length of the role is of maximum importance, Sonam Kapoor said, “Even in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Sanju, films based on real stories, my characters were fictional. But they took the story forward. I guess the directors just wanted me to be in the films,” she grins.
She explains, “I don’t believe in the length of the role. But I don’t want to be a mere decoration in the film. When you leave the theatre you do think about my characters like Bittu Sharma in Delhi-6 or Pari Walia in PadMan.”
Her role in PadMan was a short one but had great strength in taking forward the film to a logical end. However, her last film The Zoya Factor did not do so well at the box-office.
