Dulquer Salmaan
Malayalam cinema star Dulquer Salmaan launched an impressive debut with Karwaan (by Akarsh Khurana), co-acting with Mithila Palkar and Irrfan Khan. Reportedly, Mithila Palkar is a prominent name in many web series like Little Things and Girl in the City. Mithila Palkar's character was a full-of-energy girl who created freshness for the movie. Meanwhile, Dulquer won every single heart thanks to his resilience when facing up to the death of his father. Dulquer was evaluated as the perfect foil for Irrfan’s performance.
Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi Kapoor's first-hand movie Dhadak was released only months after her mother's death, Tamil's star Sridevi. Janhvi owned a special accent, a fresh face, especially her slight similarity to the late actor Sridevi which made millions of audiences excitingly wait for her debut. Indian film critic Raja Sen said that Janhvi is "better in scenes with typical Bollywood arches" but she "fails whenever it’s about enacting pain." Reportedly, Dhadak hit the box office, collected more than Rs 70 crore in spite of mixed response.
Ishaan Khatter
Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan, Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan's daughter, had noticeable performance in Kedarnath (by Abhishek Kapoor). She appeared confidently on screen and off screen, at promotional events. Also, the newbie has similar nuances and appearances with Amrita Singh. Though received mixed response, Kedarnath performed well and got Rs 50 crore after 10 released days. Sara will comeback with Ranveer Singh on Simmba released on later December.
Aayush Sharma
Contrary to the successful debuts of his colleagues, Aayush Sharma accepted failure at his first step into Bollywood. His romantic movie Loveyatri didn't receive much attention because of poor direction and unimpressive storyline. Moreover, the critics also questioned Aayushs's acting ability.
Warina Hussain
Unlike Aayush, his co-actor Warina Hussain got more attraction thanks to her appealing and fresh face. However, Warina accepted the same fate with Aayush when their movie wasn't a hot name searched.
Banita Sandhu
After the great success of October, Banita Sandhu became a hot name on the Internet. She joined the film by director Shoojit Sircar, co-starred with Varun Dhawan. Though most of her scene were comatose scenes, Banita conveyed everything through her eyes excellently. She's brought fresh power to India film industry.
Radhika Madan
Despite not coming from a family whose acting tradition, Radhika Madan has a certain impact in the small screen industry. She became a phenomenon after the TV show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi. Recently, Radhika shifted to Bollywood with Pataakha (by Vishal Bhardwaj). Wisely, she chose to play a non-glamourous but attractive role. Pataakha received positive compliments from the critics despite the poor collection at the box office.
Mouni Roy
Rohan Mehra
Having the same fate with Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain is Rohan Mehra, actor Vinod Mehra's son. Despite having the two outstanding names Radhika Apte and Saif Ali Khan, Rohan's debut movie Baazaar got poor reactions at the box office. Both the movie and Rohan's acting ability was said to be unpolished carefully.
