Plans keep shifting—release dates move, Kang’s out, and Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is stepping in. Here’s the latest on upcoming Marvel movies and shows through 2027, with some TBD projects beyond that. Spoilers ahead!

Upcoming Marvel Movies

  • The Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 25, 2025): Set in an alternate 1960s, Pedro Pascal stars as Reed Richards alongside Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Directed by Matt Shakman, it’ll introduce Galactus and the Silver Surfer, with a retro-futurist vibe and the Fantasticar.
  • Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31, 2026): Tom Holland’s back as Peter Parker, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Sadie Sink joins in a mystery role, possibly Jackpot. It’ll tackle Peter’s new status quo post-No Way Home.
  • Avengers: Doomsday (Dec 18, 2026): Directed by the Russo Brothers, this brings Downey as Doctor Doom. Expect the Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts characters, plus returning Avengers like Paul Rudd and Chris Hemsworth. Chris Evans might pop up, but it’s unconfirmed.
  • Avengers: Secret Wars (Dec 17, 2027): The Multiverse Saga’s big finish, also Russo-directed. It could reshape the MCU, maybe tying into the Secret Wars comics with a Battleworld or Doom showdown.
  • Untitled Marvel Movies (Feb 18, May 5, Nov 10, 2028): Likely Blade, Shang-Chi 2, and The X-Men, but nothing’s locked in.

Upcoming Marvel Shows

  • Ironheart (June 24, 2025): Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) builds a new suit after Wakanda drama, teaming with the Hood (Anthony Ramos). It’s grounded but ties to Armor Wars.
  • Eyes of Wakanda (Aug 6, 2025): Animated anthology about Wakanda’s protectors across history, like a female Black Panther in the piracy era. Ryan Coogler’s involved.
  • Marvel Zombies (Oct 2025): Animated What If…? spinoff with Kamala Khan, Shang-Chi, and others in a zombie apocalypse. Not on Earth-616.
  • Wonder Man (Dec 2025): Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, an actor-turned-hero, with Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery. It’s a unique “Marvel Spotlight” story, possibly unconnected to the saga.
  • The Punisher Special (2026): Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle returns post-Daredevil: Born Again, co-written by Bernthal. Plot’s hush-hush.
  • Vision (2026): Paul Bettany’s White Vision seeks his memories, with James Spader back as Ultron. Terry Matalas runs it, tying to Avengers: Doomsday.

TBD Projects

  • Armor Wars: Don Cheadle’s Rhodey fights Iron Man tech misuse. It’s a movie now, but quiet lately—might be shelved.
  • Blade: Mahershala Ali’s still attached, but it’s stuck in development hell after losing directors and cast. No release date.
  • Shang-Chi 2: Simu Liu and Destin Daniel Cretton are set, but it’s been pushed back. Might hit 2028.
  • Black Panther 3: Ryan Coogler’s reportedly writing, with Denzel Washington possibly cast. No details yet.
  • The X-Men: In early development, maybe post-Secret Wars. Could feature the ‘90s team like Wolverine and Storm.
  • Ryan Coogler’s Wakanda Series: Live-action Wakanda drama, possibly including an Okoye-focused show with Danai Gurira.
  • Untitled Scarlett Johansson Project: A “top secret” non-Black Widow project she’s producing.
  • Nova: A live-action series about Richard Rider joining the Nova Corps, now in development with Ed Bernero as showrunner.
