The most awaited TV show Game of Thrones finally on air and kept it fans on the edge of their seat. Now, the theory seems to be confirmed that the true identity of the Night King is a Targaryen. To some extent, the point is convincing people because the Night King left fire symbol on the wall which is similar to the dragon symbol of House Targaryen at the closing scene of Game of Thrones 8 first episode.

The latest suggestion about the Night King is now taking the Internet by storm and left social media user with mixed opinion.

'I just had a revelation. The Night King is a Targaryen. That is all,' a fan twitted.

The closing scenes made Game of Thrones’ fan hair-raising when the Night Watch found little Lord Umber was nailed to the wall together with an implicit message. Adding to the point, fans pointed out that the Night King was seen riding a dragon in the previous teaser, the ability which only Targaryen's family members have.

Also, the author of the famous fiction theory, David Benioff lets slipped that: 'No one has ever ridden a dragon except for Dany. Only Targaryens can ride dragons, and that should be a sign for Jon. Jon's not always the quickest with the uptake but he gets there.'

Serious #GOT question: David Benioff, one of the showrunners, said in the “Inside the Episode” segment that “only Targaryens” can ride a dragon, which is why #JohnSnow was able to ride. Does this mean that the #NightKing is a #Targaryen ?
