"We at Clean Slate Films have been dedicated to making clutter-breaking, powerful stories since our first production and we are looking forward to pushing the content envelope", says Anushka.

Anushka Sharma is all set to rock the entertainment world with her upcoming new projects. But this time, there is a difference. The actress turned producer is all set to astonish you by her projects for the OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

The actress is trying to stay away from the media and all the paparazzi to stay as focused as she can on the multiple projects that she had been doing.

The previous year there were 4 films of the actress which hit the big screens and most of them faired well. She was seen in Ranbir Kapoor's comeback film Sanju, Anand L Rai's Zero, along with Varun Dhawan in Sui Dhaaga and the much-hyped and critically acclaimed social horror Pari.

According to Netflix, Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment will produce zombie horror Betaal, while Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films will serve as executive producers on Mai.

“This is my second collaboration with Netflix after Bulbul and we are again looking to disrupt the kind of content audiences are consuming. We at Clean Slate Films have been dedicated to making clutter-breaking, powerful stories since our first production and we are looking forward to pushing the content envelope.

“The creative freedom to be able to translate these stories to screens that reach a global audience is exciting for us, which is why Netflix is such an important partner,” Anushka Sharma said in a statement.

Talking about the workload that she had to manage and how multiple projects take a toll on any artist, the actress said, "In one calendar year, to do a film like Pari, Sui Dhaaga, and Zero is not easy and takes a toll on you. You feel you want to sit back and take a call. I think I have reached that position and security as an actor in my career, where I don’t need to do things or sign films just because I have to fill up time, (sic).”

She turned her glaze to producing films in late 2014 with her production house, Clean Slate Productions. And the actress had revealed that it's time to do justice to the vital role that she plays behind the camera.

The Netflix Original period drama BulBul is produced by Clean Slate Productions. It deals with age-old beliefs and superstitions. In an update regarding the same posted by an online news portal, the source said, "She had first signed on the Laila Majnu Jodi from the Imtiaz Ali film; Avinash Tiwari and Tripti Dimri for her show called Bulbul, which is again a social horror like her earlier films; Phillauri and Pari. She seems to have a penchant for horror with a social cause because she feels that there is a reason why social evils continue to haunt us. She has also finished casting for her next show Jamuna Paar, in which she has Neeraj Kabi, Gul Panag, and Jaideep Ahlawat. But this one is not a horror piece, but an investigative thriller on a social subject. Then there is a third project that she is developing as well which will also be for an OTT platform."

The production house is also backing a cop drama directed by Sudeep Sharma for another OTT giant Amazon Prime. There were also rumors about Anushka Sharma signing a film for the NH10 director Navdeep Singh named Kaneda. It was supposed to be a dark thriller but the talks have been completely settled down regarding the film and if we are to believe the grapevine then the film is put on a complete backburner.
