Actor Ronit Roy Got Injured, Refuses To Stop Working Even After 17 Stiches

Ronit Roy is an Indian television and film actor, known for his portrayal Rishabh Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Mihir in Kyu ki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and Neil in Itna Karo Na Muze Pyaar.

Ronit plays the cop character in the web series of Hotstar, Hostages. He got badly injured while filming for an action sequence with got 17 stitches.

According to reports, Ronit Roy was shooting for an action sequence barefoot in the middle of a national park in Delhi. During the practice session between him and the actor, he injured himself and got 17 stitches to continue the shooting.

Speaking about this experience, Ronit Roy said in a statement, “It was the most difficult chase sequence towards the end of our shoot, while we shot for the climax in the National Park in Delhi. It was not just me, but the entire unit was running through that forest".


Adding his take on the series, Ronit Roy also commented, “Things heat up quite fast in Hostages, and it begins with my character Prithvi Singh superintendent of police. The level of tension fuelled by several plots, twists, and mystery is sure to keep the viewers guessing. With a brilliant director like Sudhir Mishra and excellent co-actors including Tisca Chopra, Parvin Dabas and Dalip Tahil, the show is packaged so well that you will find yourself binge-watching the episodes to find out what happens next.”

Hostages is the web series of Sudhir Mishra featuring Ronit Roy, Tisca Chopra, Parveen Dabas and Asim Gulati. The filmmaker Sudhir Mishra's debutant web series is the adaption of the Israeli Show of the same name.

Talking about the show, Mishra said, “As a storyteller, you do not mimic a show. You keep the core of the story and treat it with your own signature, without tampering the narrative. That is what I did in the show. One of the interesting parts of the story is the female lead (played by Tisca) which I find to be a bold character.”
