Twins Are Born To Different Fathers, How Come It Is Possible?

After his wife gave birth to two adorable twins, a Chinese man noticed something unusual about his newborn babies. While one baby resembles him, the other doesn’t look alike the mother or any members of the family. The young man kept questioning the real reason behind it and decided to take a DNA test. It was the result that has torn the family apart forever!

Twins are born from different fathers!

Although many identical twins don’t look alike as they’re from different eggs with different chromosomes and genes, the case is different for the Chinese family. After reading the DNA test result, the man was left speechless as their twins are born to different fathers. According to that, he is the biological father of only one baby. “So who is the father of the other?” The question kept echoing inside his mind and there is only one person who knows the truth, his wife. 

In fact, the result also took the wife by surprise at first. However, after a while of being questioned, she revealed the truth. According to her, she c.h.e.a.t.e.d on the husband and s.l.e.p.t with another man just a day after being in.ti.mate with him. The truth has left the family at rock bottom as the husband could not stand the idea of raising someone’s child and living with the unfaithful wife. He decided to get away with his own child while his wife took care of the other.

How come it’s possible?

Normally, women only have one o.vu.la.tion in each cycle. However, there are some rare cases when two o.v.u.l.a.t.e.d e.g.g.s happen at the same time. If both are conceived, she will give birth to babies with different genes and appearances (also called non-identical twins). In this case, as the twins do not share the same father, it could be consumed that the e.g.g.s are conceived by s.p.e.r.m.s of different men as they can live inside the woman's body for up to 5 days.

Even the chance is odd, same case also happened to an American single mother in 2015 when she blamed her boyfriend for her twins but found out he was only the father of one.
