The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit  in lead roles, with Akshay Kumar for the sideline.

This was Yash's first-ever musical, but it sure doesn't look like one as the director managed to weave a set of loveable characters in a well-put-together story. The story of Dil To Pagal Hai tracks the lives of three friends in a dance group.

Yash's films are known for showing human feelings like yet happening, and it's no different in this case. Whether it's the mischievous Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), the lovely Pooja (Madhuri Dixit), or the energetic Nisha (Karisma Kapoor).

Dil To Pagal Hai really is one of those films which you can’t help but fall in love with every time you watch it. But a musical would mean nothing without its music. And the crew didn't disappoint. The musical numbers in the film are simply beautiful, with each one intertwining seamlessly into the storyline.

Each song was also wonderfully choreographed and some fan favorites including Are Re Are, Koi Ladki Hai and Pyaar Kar.

Dil To Pagal Hai: Some trivia

To get the look he desired for Madhuri Dixit's character, Yash went through 54 different dresses created by the famous fashion designer Manish Malhotra. In the end, he rejected them and opt for a simple salwar kameez.

The film has different names when it was still in development. Initially, the name Maine To Mohabbat Kar Li and Mohabbat Kar Le were picked. Ultimately, the crew went with Dil To Pagal Hai.

Dil To Pagal Hai is the first-ever collaboration of Akshay Kumar and Madhuri Dixit. The two stars would later work together on another film, Aarzoo.

This was also the first and only time Karisma Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan act in the same movie. However, Shah Rukh Khan did make a cameo in Karisma's film, Shakti.

As Nisha, Karisma Kapoor won the National Award, the Filmfare Awards, and the Zee Cine Awards, all for Best Supporting Actress category.
