A new trailer of the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame just dropped on April 2nd. Tony Stark's long-awaited reunion with Steve Rogers, a.k.a the Captain America, definitely made fans' heart throbbed. There are also new dialogue from the main villain Thanos, an appearance of Hawkeye, and Iron Man's new suit of armour.

Here's a rundown of the whole trailer.

Facing great odds

Bruce Banner's ominous explanation

The trailer begins with Bruce Banner, The Hulk, saying they are going to against  Thanos with only a hand full of the Avengers left, as a result of Infinity War. There hasn't been any revealed on the team's plan, but surely somewhere in space would be the final battleground. The remainder of the clip only shows scenes from Earth. Previous trailers showed our heroes in space suits, so the question now is: Will Thanos come to Earth?

Reunions

Surprisingly, the new trailer revealed a lot of reunion moments. The fact that Tony and Nebula will return safely to Earth is a given, but the clip gives more insight into the emotional aspects of their homecoming. An unexpected friendship formed between former foes: Rocket Racoon and Nebula. Then, Tony finally sees Pepper, the woman he dedicated his last words to in the teaser trailer a while back.

Hawkeye's makeover

Clint Barton, or the bow-wielding Avengers Hawkeye, came back to the series with a new costume and codename. Known now as Ronin, with a new haircut and a never-before-seen tattoo on his left arm looks like he won't be the least favourite hero for long.

Tony Stark and Steve Rogers

The duo Iron Man and Captain America have not met since they parted ways in Captain America: Civil War. It has been three years since then, and when Tony asks if Steve trusts him, only to get a reassuring "I do", you know that the team's truly back. This could also be a call back to the first time they meet in the first Avengers movie.

The spaceship scene

The spaceship

As can be seen from a previous trailer, the team got themselves red-and-white space uniforms. Their new wardrobe isn't seen here, however, so we can establish that this happens early on in the movie. Rocket, Carol, Nat, Steve, Rhodey, and Thor can be seen, but Clint, Scott, Tony, and Nebula are absent. This scene begs the question: Did the Avengers decided to go straight for Thanos? If so, why did they return? There's also the fact that Thor's new weapon can technically teleport everyone to where they want to go, then why use a spaceship at all?

Thanos

The main villain appeared briefly in past trailers, but we finally see him, fully-geared for battle, in this one. Although, there are some speculations to be made about his arrival, or is its departure? At the end of Infinity War, the Infinity Gauntlet, along with the Infinity Stones, broke. That means Thanos can no longer summon teleportation rifts as he did in that movie. So, what is this mysterious blue beam? Where is he going?

Iron Man new suit?

Hawkeye isn't the only one with new looks. Dawning a different Iron Man armour than the one in Infinity War, it's hard to tell if it's an upgrade of his nanotech suit or just an old classic.

The Big Three

Thor, Steve and Tony walk together

At the end of the trailer, Thor, Steve and Tony can be seen together. The three original Avengers haven't fought side by side since Avengers: Age of Ultron, so this is a climactic moment. Seeing The Big Three marches to a final battle gives off an epic, yet melancholy feeling at the same time.
