Yash's Blockbuster "KGF: Chapter 1" Marks A 50-Day Run In Box-Office Clash

Yesterday, "KGF: Chapter 1", which has garnered over Rs 240 crore globally so far, marked a 50-day run at the box office.

Although it has been over one and a half months since its premiere in December, Kannada blockbuster KGF: Chapter 1 hasn't shown no sign of slowing down. Currently, Yash's movie, which has garnered over Rs 240 crore globally, still exists in February 2019's box-office competition so far.

Yesterday, rumour had it that the producers desire to get the nod from Bollywood veteran actor, Sanjay Dutt, for the pivotal role in their next instalment entitled KGF: Chapter 2.

Later that same day, via his Twitter page, Vijay Kiragandur, KGF: Chapter 1's film-maker, announced the movie's new milestone: 50 days at the box office. Concurrently, he also expressed his gratitude to all admirers for their enthusiastic support during KGF's 50-day journey.

"#KGF celebrating its 50th day today. I thank each one of you for your love and support and making it a blockbuster success," the tweet read.

Helmed by Prashanth Neel, the second instalment, KGF: Chapter 2, is expected to kick off the shooting in late April. Plus, the producers are aiming for its release late this year or early next year.
