Trisha To Join “Ponniyin Selvan” Shoot In Hyderabad

Trisha is presently busy with a number of projects which are being shot simultaneously. The actress is now gearing up to join the “Ponniyin Selvan” shoot soon.

Trisha, who was last seen in the movie Petta (2019) opposite megastar Rajinikanth for the first time in her career, has her plate full with a number of exciting projects in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She is currently on a roll and there is no stopping for her. Filmmakers from across the industries are queueing up in front of her house with scripts in their hands.

Trisha is shooting for a number of projects simultaneously. She is now gearing up for the upcoming multilingual movie Ponniyin Selvan, which is being directed by renowned director Mani Ratnam. The shooting of the film has already begun in Thailand a couple of weeks ago. The director and his team have now moved to Hyderabad where the art director of the film Thotta Tharani has designed a huge set of the Chola Palace for this schedule. After that, the filmmaker will be shooting some scenes on the shore of Puducherry.

However, it has been reported that Trisha is all set to join Mani Ratnam on the sets of the film in Hyderabad. She will be playing the role of Kunthavai in Ponniyin Selvan alongside handsome hunk Karthi who plays the role of Vandiyadevan. According to reports, the director will film some portions of the film in Hyderabad. Karthi, Trisha, Vikram, Aishwarya Rajesh and others are also set to join the cast of the film.

According to reports, the makers of the upcoming magnum-opus are planning to release the film in two parts and the first part will arrive in theatres towards the end of the year. The film is produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies.

Meanwhile, Trisha has completed shooting for her film Raangi in Uzbekistan. The movie is directed by M. Saravanan, while writer-director AR Murugadoss has written the story and dialogues for the venture.
