The Sequel of Thuppakki Will Continue With The Presence of Vijay, Confirmed By AR Murugadoss

Murugadoss the Director AR of Thuppakki has confirmed to cooperate with the actor Vijay in the Thuppakki’s sequel

Thuppakki was a box office smash and the critics also well received the film. That was the first collaboration of actor Vijay and director Murugadoss. Thuppakki is an action film which was about the process of breaking the conspiracy to the mass bombing of officer Jagadish Dhanapal (played by Vijay). The film was released on 13th November 2012 and received the Best Film prize from The Chennai Times Film Awards on 4th November 2013.

The film was so successful that it is viewed as one of the most effective cooperation of the director and the actor and Holiday is its remade version in Hindi. The lead roles in Holiday were given to two famous actors - Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar.

Recently, Thuppakki 2 has been confirmed by AR Murugadoss. The announcement was revealed at the Behindwoods Gold Medal Awards 2018 when the talented director was honoured with the Best Socially Responsible Filmmaker appellation. He certainly said at the event: “Thuppakki 2 will be made”. After Sarkar, Kaththi, and Thuppakki, the Sequel of Thuppakki will be the fourth collaboration of Murugadoss and Vijay.

The latest film they cooperated with each other was Sarkar which was widely discussed in the media for its great box office collection and the controversies the film became entangled in. The character Kumudhavalli of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was claimed to be obviously based on Jayalalithaa the late chief minister, which caused protests against the film across the state. The allegation was believed by many members of AIADMK the ruling party.

At the moment, Vijay is working on the third project with the director Atlee after their collaborations in Mersal and Theri. In the last few years, Vijay has cooperated with two directors Atlee and AR Murugadoss and his fan favourites have been churned out significantly.
